The reason people ask “Kornit or DTF?” or “should I get a UV printer or a DTG printer?” is that they’re trying to find one tool that covers all bases. In my experience, that tool doesn’t exist. The right decision depends on the garment type, the quantity, the deadline, and—more than most suppliers admit—your cash flow.
I’ve handled 200+ rush jobs since 2020: same-day turnarounds for event clients, 36-hour reprints after a failed screen run, and more “emergency” orders than I can count. But here’s the part that doesn’t fit the marketing website: the Presto Max only makes sense if you have a continuous need for printed fabric. If you’re printing single T-shirts, you don’t need a fabric roll printer. If you’re producing 200 yards of custom patterned fabric for a yoga collection, this is the scenario where Kornit’s one-pass workflow can save your calendar.

ArtisJet UV printers are a different product category: flatbed/hybrid UV systems that print directly on acrylic, wood, metal, leather, and plastic. For B2B decorators, they’re the “accessory printer”—the machine that keeps a client’s full job in your shop instead of sending part of it to a promo supplier.
When I triage a rush order, I ask one simple question: is this order entirely on fabric? I don’t care if someone orders 20 shirts or 20,000. In my role coordinating production for clients, I’ve seen suppliers treat small orders like they don’t deserve a reply. That’s backwards.
