The Brother GTX Pro produces excellent prints on cotton. It's a legitimate DTG machine. But it's cotton-centric, needs pre-treatment, and its max print area covers most standard jobs — until a client wants an oversized placement or an all-over print. When that happens, the shop with a Kornit Presto or Atlas takes that work, and you don't.

So the conclusion here: Kornit covers more ground per square foot of floor space than any of the alternatives. If you're running a one-machine shop, that's a real advantage. It means fewer "sorry, we can't do that" emails.

  • Expected volume is under 5,000 pieces a year
  • Most of your orders are poly/cotton blends where DTF's flexibility helps
  • You enjoy troubleshooting almost as much as printing

Buy a jersey sublimation printer if:

  • Your market is sports teams, gyms, and polyester-based apparel
  • You want the lowest cost per unit in that niche with zero white-ink headaches
  • You accept that cotton orders will need a partner or a second machine

Choose the Brother GTX Pro if:

  • You want real DTG quality without an industrial budget
  • Your volume sits between 5,000 and 15,000 pieces a year, mostly cotton
  • You have space for pre-treatment equipment and dryer, and you're okay with slower throughput
